    1857: Great Britain 1 d. red, wmk. Large Crown, perf. 14, two horizontal strips of three lettered CD-CF and DD-DF, used on 1859 entire letter to Mandeville, tied by three superb strikes of the "A41" obliterator of GAYLE in black. Reverse with Gayle cds (April 22) with second '2' inserted in manuscript; Kingston and Mandeville datestamps all in black. File fold and treated to remove tropicalisation but a splendid and extremely rare entire. Cert. BPA (1993) Gi = £ 4'500 off cover.
