    1876/79: 2 c. orange used on 1877 cover from Georgetown to Queenstown, Essequibo tied by "A03" obliterator with rare circular "G.P.O. / TOO LATE / B. GUIANA" handstamp alongside (Proud I/11, page 122) and reverse with double ring Georgetwon despatch cds (May 18) and "BG / A3C" datestamp of receipt. Stains around stamp but appears to be the cover E.W. Proud recorded.
