    1870 (Oct 1): 1½ d. lake-red, plate 1, lettered TK-TL, an imperforate horizontal pair from the lower right corner of the sheet, printed on Dr. Perkins experimental blued paper, with full Plate Number '1' and part imprint '(care)ful not to remove the Cement'. Large margins all round, fresh and very fine, large part og. Superb and of great rarity, especially so in a multiple: the sole recorded corner Plate Number piece in private hands, the only other example (from lower left of sheet) is housed in the National Postal Museum (Vol XX1, page 25).
