    1871 (Jan): Carol 'with beard' 5 bani vermillion in a hor. pair, a fine multiple in a vivid shade with fair to large margins, shaved at left (Transfer Types 1-2), used on 1872 entire letter to Braila (Faranga correspondence), endorsed "Cu vaporu", carried by Danube Steamer, tied by CALAFAT / SERA datestamp (Feb 19) in blue with framed "P.D." alongside in blue (Kiriac fig. 447). Reverse with 'Braila / Dim' arrival cds in black.
