    Ballon Monté 1870 (Oct 27): Entire letter from beseiged Paris endorsed with printed 'Par Ballon Monté' franked by Laureated 20 c. blue tied by Paris Star, carried on the Ballon 'Le Colonel Charras' on its 250 km. flight, struck on reverse with 'Caen à Paris' cds (Nov 2) and Mézidon arrival cds (Nov 2).
