    1874: 5 s. maroon, wmk. Crown CC sideways, perf. 15½ x 15, an unused example affixed to card optd. CANCELLED in blue (Samuel Type D7). A few nibbed perforations but very scarce, ex the De La Rue archives - a similar example is illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 5006. Rare.
