    'Mafeking Besieged' Type 2 on Stamps of Bechuanaland Protectorate 1900 (April 1-13): 3 d. on 1 d. lilac, used on small piece with complete cds (May 11), 6 d. on 2 d. green & carmine of rich colour (Type IV) on small piece (April 28), 1 s. on 6 d. purple on rose-red superb used (May 4) and faded 2 s. on 1 s. green of British Bechuanaland well cancelled (May 10).
