    1873 (July): 2 d. vermilion, wmk. NZ, perf. 12½, a horizontal strip of three used on 1873 cover from Palmerston to Huddersfield, UK cancelled by numeral "04" obliterators in black. The strip, from Row 18, positions 4-5-6 and thus showing the pronounced retouches to the plate. Reverse with Palmerston cds of despatch (Aug 30), Dunedin cds and Hudderfield arrival cds (Nov 4).
