    Recess by Henri Gillet from Perkins Bacon Plates 1854 (April): 5 c. Burnt Siena in a 'ginger' shade, shaved at left and with large margins on the other three sides, used with Desmadryl February 1854 5 c. deep reddish-brown with three large margins, on 1855 cover from Santiago to Valparaiso, lightly tied by target handstamps in black. SANTIAGO despatch datestamp at left (Nov 12). The Desmadryl 5 c. from position 122 and thus showing the constant Plate Flaw: Line through first 'O' of CORREOS and 'OLO' of COLON and 'C' of FRANCO. Slight file fold stain but a scarce and attractive mixed issue franking, especially so showing the major Plate Flaw of the issue. Certs. BPA (1999), Moorhouse (2010).
