    1885: Registered cover mailed to New York in the 'interim' period after the first issue and before the 1887 issue, franked by black on pink PANAMA registration label with fine strike of 'Agencia Correos Nacional / Panama' duplex (April 15) in black. Reverse with New York arrival (April 28) in black. A very rare provisional usage.
