    1937 (Oct. 1): Crash at Phaleron Bay (Greece), wreck cover from Cairo (30 Sept. 37) franked with Egypt airpost 8 m and 20 m. to London showing rectangular handstamp 'DAMAGED BY SEA / WATER' in violet and on reverse with official London GPO label: 'found open or damaged and officially secured' in brown. In addition 'The Daily Mail' cut out dated Oct. 2, reporting the accident: 'Three Killed as Flying Boat Sinks' Nierink 1995: 371001e.
