    1884/90: 1 d. carmine, 2 d. pale bistre horizontal pair and 6 d. purple all used on 1888 cover to Secunderabad, India via England (Puzey correspondence); tied by ‘29’ numeral obliterators in black. ‘East London’ datestamp below (April 7). Red manuscript rate split ‘2½’, and reverse with ‘Cape Town / Cape Colony’ cds, London cds (May 3), carried on the Steamer "Thames" with ‘Sea Post Office / F’ cds and Secunderabad arrival cds (May 22). A fine and scarce three colour franking to an unusual destination.   250.rn
