    1887: Mexico 12 c. green Wells Fargo Express envelope used to Hamburg, Germany, cancelled by oval framed "Express Wells Fargo / Guaymas" cachet in violet, up-rated with USA 1883 2 c. red brown strip of three, surface scuff on one stamp, tied by black cork handstamps with "Tucson / Ariz." cds adjacent (Aug 13) for onward transmission. Reverse with New York transit and Hamburg (Aug 30) arrival cds. Despite the fault, a scarce and attractive mixed franking to an unusual destination.
