    1863: 10 c. blue, a used example with three large margins and just shaved at top, used on 1865 cover to Paris endorsed ‘via Sta. Marta’, tied by ‘Rio Negro’ manuscript despatch cancellation in black ink. Reverse with British P.O. Santa Martha datestamp in black (March 30). Carried on the RMSP Steamer ‘Tamar’ to St. Thomas and thence on the ‘Seine’ to Southampton. The adhesive also tied by framed ‘GB / 1F 60c.’ Anglo-French accountancy marking applied in London (April 28), charged ‘8’ décimes due upon arrival. A fine and rare cover.
