    1795 (Oct 28): Entire letter from Neustadt near Dusseldorf to Paris, struck with two line 'DON A ARM. / SAMBRE ET MEUSE' in black (Reinhardt = 400 pts.). rated '10' dut to pay in manuscript with circular Paris '22' arrival in black on reverse. Letter written by an Officer describing the crossing of the Rhine, the advance to the River Lahn, the lack of supplies and the retreat back across the Rhine. A fine and interesting entire.
