De La Rue Printing 1863/64: 1 d. deep carmine-red on wmk. CC paper with sideways watermark and 4 d. deep blue, wmk. Anchor, both stamps with large margins all round and of bright fresh colour, sharing manuscript "Specimen", believed applied by De La Rue for their own in-house records (see the article by the late Alan Drysdall in 'The London Philatelist', Jan-Feb, 2007 which accompanies the lot).
