    1862: 6 d. adapted design, the famous composite Essay with black Proof in the 1860 design imperforate, country name and value cut away, 'VICTORIA' and 'SIX PENCE.' re-drawn in ink, affixed to card marked 'B' at base in black ink manuscript. Some minor gum staining but a unique and wonderful Proof, illustrated in 'Stamps of Victoria' by Geoff Kellow RDP on colour plate 9.rnrnProvenance: Collection J. R. W.
