    Lithographed by Thomas Ham 1853 (Jan*): Half-Length 3 d. blue, Third State, fourth printing with retouched 'White Veils', two horizontal pairs in a deep shade, used on 1854 mourning envelope to Skipton, Yorkshire all tied by oval '1/V' obliterators of Melbourne with oval datestamp of despatch below in black. Reverse with London transit datestamps (July 18) and Skipton arrival in red. Note first stamp with retouch at top left corner of design. Minor imperfections but an exceptional usage.rnrn* Note: Contrary to the Stanley Gibbons listing, the earliest noted used example is dated 8 December 1852.
