    1850: Cérès 10 c. bistre, a fine and fresh example with good to large margins all round, tied by "SOISSONS .. OCT 52" type 15 cds to local cover, written at the Château d'Ecuiry by Auguste Charles de Brossin de Méré (1801-1875), postman handstamp 'N' alongside, sent to Soissons. A rare cancellation on the first Cérès issue, a scarce cover from the Picardie with historical interest. Signed Roumet, Goebel Maury = € 5'750/Yvert = € 5'000.
