    Peninsular War 1809 (Oct 18): Entire letter from Puente D'Arzobispo (on the River Tagus to the West of Talavera) mailed to Nemours and struck with good 'No. 2 / BAU. PRINCIPAL / ARM. D'ESPAGNE' handstamp in black (Reinhardt = 400 pts). The letter written by Colonel Bertholet, 4th Regiment of the Line, concerning the death of a deserter. Signed Pothion.
