    Ballon Monté No. 55 1871: 'Gazette des Absents' No. 21 written to St Omer, franked by 1867 Napoleon laureated 20 c. blue, tied by Paris Star '37' with "PARIS Bt MALESHERBES 3 JANV. 71" despatch cds alongside, reverse with arrival cds (Jan 13). This item was flown from besieged Paris on the 55th Ballon 'Duquesne'. Cert. Roumet (2015).
