    Ballon Monté No. 53 1870 (Dec 29): Gazette Des Absents used as envelope to Vevey, Switzerland, franked by 1863/67 30 c. brown tied by Paris Star 35 with 'Paris / Ministère des Finances' datestamp (Dec 29, 7th levée) alongside in black and framed 'PD' in red. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "L'Armée-De-La-Loire" with vevey arrival cds (Jan 78, 1871) on reverse. Ironed bends but attractive and scarce Maury = € 775.
