    Ballon Monté No. 48 1870: Entire written to Amsterdam, franked by 1867 Napoleon laureated 40 c. orange, tied by Paris Star '22' with "PARIS R. TAITBOUT 21 DEC. 70" despatch cds and framed PD in red alongside, reverse with arrival cds (Dec 27). This item was presumably flown from besieged Paris on the 48th Ballon 'Délivrance'.
