    Ballon Monté No. 42 1870 (Dec 12): Gazette Des Absents No. 15 mailed to Aumale endorsed 'Par Ballon Monté' franked by Siège 1870 20 c. blue, tied by Paris Star with 'Paris / Rue Richard Lenoir' datestamp (Dec 12, 4th levée) alongside in black. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "La Ville-De-Paris" which was blown off course and into Prussia on the same day. The Mails were confiscated and sent back after the War: the reverse bearing 'Calais a Paris' cds (July 26, 1871) and Aumale arrival - then sent back again to Paris. Rare and most unusual entire Maury = € 2'500.
