    Ballon Monté No. 39 or 40 1870 (Dec 6): Cover to Oloron, franked by 1863/67 20 c. blue, tied by Paris Star 22 with 'Paris / Rue Taitbout' cds (Dec 6, 3rd levée) alongside. Flown from beseiged Paris, probably on the Ballon "Armée de Bretagne" or "Le Dennis Papin" with 'Bordeaux à Irun' cds (Dec 8) and Olooron-St-Marie arrival cds (Dec 9) on reverse. A few imperfections Maury = € 400+.
