    Ballon Monté No. 15 1870 (Oct 16): Entire letter to Marennes franked by 1863/67 20 c. blue, slight peripheral ageing, tied by '2488' gros chiffres with 'Paris / Montmartre' cds (Oct 16, 5th levée) alongside. Flown from beseiged Paris on the Ballon "Le Victor Hugo" with backstamps of arrival displaying well on reverse (Oct 22). A scarce suburban usage Maury = € 450+.
