Setting 10 / GRI and Value 5 mm. Apart 1914 (Dec 16): 2 d. on 20 pf. ultramarine, Setting 10, positions 1-5, the extraordinary horizontal unused strip of five from the top left corner of the sheet, the first three stamps without Surcharge with the third stamp showing an albino impression, and the fourth and fifth stamps being normal; the variety caused by a paper fold prior to the Surcharge being applied and thus diagonally creased across position 2-3 and the surcharge applied in part on the reverse. A splendid and famous strip, illustrated in Gibbs on page 84 and discussed on page 79. Unique and a highlight of Australasian, New Guinea and British Commonwealth philately. Cert.
