Setting 1 / GRI and Value 3½ mm. Apart 1914 (Oct 17): 1 s. on 1 m. carmine, Setting 1, position type 4, a fine unused example showing variety "Large "S" from different font in 1s.", with the characteristic small void in the top left of the "R" in GRI. The stamp of good colour but centred slightly to left and with minor hinge thin not appearent on face, with large part, somewhat dried og. Gibbs records (page 69) that just two unused examples of this stamp exist from this setting, illustrated in Gibbs on page 71. A major rarity of GRI philately.
