    1854/1901: Composite Proof strip of five subjects for the 1 shilling value (138 x 33 mm.), printed in black and grey on somewhat creased surface glazed paper, with first Proof at left showing "POSTAGE / ONE SHILLING" unadopted wording, second Proof with accepted "VICTORIA / ONE SHILLING" (both the items with wording have been hand-painted), and the three further Proofs all without wording in the circular surround. Just two or perhaps three impressions (ref. Rod Perry) are believed to have been struck from the Original Die on the occasion of the Duke of Cornwall & York's (later King George V) visit to Australia in 1901.
