    1859 (Aug 15): Garter 6 d. fawn brown, imperforate, a used example with large margins all round, error of watermark "8" for "6", used on 1859 cover from Sydney to London endorsed 'per Emeu', tied by oval framed 'NSW' handstamp in black with 'London / Paid' cds adjacent (Dec 14) in red of arrival. Reverse with 'Sydney / New South Wales' despatch datestamp (Oct 14) in black. Cover with closed tear in face panel well away from the adhesive but a rare usage of the error on letter.
