1851 (Dec 18): Laureated 1 d. carmine on thick yellowish paper, the magnificent mint horizontal pair, somewhat roughly separated but with ample to huge margins all round with portions of adjoining stamps at left and at right, of rich vibrant colour. Note the vertical guide lines continuing into margin on left stamp. Fresh and fine, with near full original crackly brown gum, apparently mounted just once in 167 years.
