    1850: 1 d. brownish red, Plate I, positions 3/8, a vertical pair with large even margins all round (much scarcer than horizontal pairs), used on small piece cancelled by "54" numeral obliterator of Carrington with the typical '4' reversed, also showing circular 'Sydney / Crown / New South Wales' datestamp in black (March 27). Fine and attractive piece Gi = £ 1'000+.
