    Mail to the U.S.A. (GPU / UPU) 1875: Cover from Corfu to Maine, USA franked at 30 lepta UPU single rate bearing 1872/75 10 l. orange and 20 l. deep blue, tied by 'Kerkyra' datestamps (July 14) of depatch. As France had yet to join the UPU (Jan 1, 1876), the cover travelled via Brindisi, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and London with red cds (Aug 10, gregorian) of transit with smudged New York arrival alongside. Minor faults but a most appealing and scarce Transatlantic usage. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 67.
