    Mail from Greece to Russia 1862: Entire letter from Patras to Taganrog, Russia franked by 1861 Paris printing 20 l. blue, 40 l. lilac on blue and 80 l. carmine on rose all tied by dotted '9' numeral of Patras with despatch datestamp (Jan 23) at right, fully prepaid to the Russian border with red 'Paid to Destination' and italic FRANCO in black. Mailed via Austria with reverse showing '15/15/10' kreuzer rates (15 kr. ship rate to Trieste, 15 kr. Austrian inland fee and 10 kr. rate from Brody to the border) alongside Athens transit cds (Jan 25) and 'Brody' transit datestamp (Feb 17, gregorian) in black and small manuscript '30' on front for kopeks due on receipt.
