    Mail from France to Greece 1872: Cover sent unpaid from Marseille to Syros, endorsed for double rate with '2' at left, carried on the French Paquebot 'Tibre' and struck with LIGNE U / PAQ. FR. No. 3 datestamp (April 27) and '1 DR 80 LEP' handstamp in black (unlisted by Van Der Linden), taxed accordingly on arrival with 1872/75 20 l. blue and two horizontal pairs of 40 l. deep bistre on blued transparent paper, one 40 l. crossed by vertical file fold, the pairs tied by Syra cds's (April 20, julian) in black. An attractive and very scarce entire. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 102.
