    Mail from France to Greece 1865: Entire letter from Marseille to Piraeus, sent unpaid and struck (underneath the adhesives) with French Paquebot PHASE cds in blue (Nov 4, gregorian) and, on arrival marked '188' (lepta) due and 1862/67 1 l. red-brown, 2 l. bistre brown, 5 l. green on greenish, 20 l. blue and four 40 l. dull mauve on blued applied and tied by 'Piraeus' datestamps (Oct 28, julian) in black. The rate is made up of 1½ times the French rate of 112 lepta = 168 lepta + 20 lepta internal Greek postage. Some of the adhesives with faults but a remarkable usage of the 40 lepta and a most attractive five colour cover. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 77. Cert. Tseriotis (2010).rnrn
