    Mail carried on Austrian Lloyd 1861: Cover from Athens to Marseille franked at 165 lepta rate (including 20 lepta internal) with 1861 Paris printing 5 lepta green, large margins all round, and 80 l. carmine pair, just touched, all tied by '1' dotted numeral of Athens with despatch cds at right (Nov 18) and unframed PD and 'A' (Austria). Circular 'Autriche / Culoz' entry mark in red (Dec 10, gregorian) on front and reverse with Paris transit cds and Marseille arrival cds and Austrian Lloyd rate notations (Lloyd 15 kr. = 45 lepta, Austria credit 10 kr. = 30 lepta) in red crayon. Small faults but an attractive and rare first issue cover. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 87.rnrn
