    Mail from Austrian Offices in the Levant 1865: Thin papered cover from Ibraila, Romania to Corfu, endorsed 'Via Constantinople', franked by Austrian Italy 1863 5 soldi rose, perf. 9½ in a horizontal strip of four, one crrossed by file fold, all tied by JBRAILA datestamps in black (Oct 25). Taxed on arrival for internal Greek postage with touched 1862/67 20 l. blue tied by 'Kerkyra' datestamp (Oct 26, julian). Cover somewhat fragile due to acid ink (and possibly slit for disinfection - 1865 saw a large Cholera epidemic) - but extremely rare. Illustrated in 'Les Tarifs Helléniques' on page 47.
