    Argentina 1849/50: Cérès 1 fr. carmine, an enormous margined example of exquisite colour used in combination with 1852 Présidence 25 c. blue in a horizontal pair with large margins on three sides and frameline just shaved on left hand stamp and with scissor cut in margin only, used on 1852 cover at single rate to the French Legation in Buenos Aires, Argentina tied by 'grille sans fin' and Paris cds of despatch (Dec 23). Framed PD in red and London transit (Dec 24) in red all on obverse of an attractive and very rare mixed issue franking to an unusual destination. Signed Calves. Cert. Von der Weid (1997).
