    Cérès 1 fr. carmine, 40 c. orange and 10 c. yellowish bistre, all four margin examples, used on 1852 cover, side flaps removed, via England to Lisbon, Portugal tied by 'grille sans fin' and by Paris despatch cds (March 25) and the 10 c. by 'London / Paid' transit datestamp (March 26) in red. Framed 'PD' in red and oval Portuguese handstamp of arrival at left and charge '210' (reis) in blue manuscript at right. Reverse with Lisbon (April 2) datestamp in blue. A magnificent three colour franking to an extremely rare destination for a first issue cover. Signed Calves, A. Diena. Cert. A. Diena (1974).
