    25 c. black & purple used in combination with July 1879 50 c. black & blue on 1881 double weight mourning cover sent registered to Piney, France tied by bilingual SOFIA datestamp in black (Feb 25). Bilingual framed RECOMMANDEE registered cachet at right in black with Avricourt entry mark (March 20, gregorian) alongside. Reverse with repeated Sofia datestamp and Calafat transit cds (March 17) in blue. Double weight = 50 c. + Registration fee 25 c. An attractive and rare franking.
