    40 parale deep blue on greyish blued paper, the margnificent vertical pair with enormous margins all round, used on 1861 registered cover to Jassy and tied by framed "FRANCO / PIATRA" handstamps in blue (Kiriac fig. 318) with circular "Piatra / Moldova" cds above (3/1) and "Recepisse" at left (with manuscript docketing No. 3). Reverse with Jassy (6/1) arrival datestamp. A splendid and rare cover of superb appearance and quite feasibly the finest known bearing this adhesive.
