    Local Express Post 1850: Eagle Post / Adam's Express (later American Express), the 'Paid at Eagle Post' (1 c.) blue on white wove paper, imperforate block of four, fresh and fine unused, slightest vertical bend affecting the left hand pair and just touched at base of right, otherwise in outstanding quality for this rare issue, without gum. The largest known multiple of this stamp and ridiculously under-catalogued. Cert. PF (2001) Scott = $ 1'150.

    Local Express Post 1847: Kidder's City Express Post, Brooklyn, New York 2 c. black on blue surface glazed paper, a mint block of four, each stamp initialled 'I.S.' (Isaac Snedeker) in manuscript, some minor creasing and scrapes as can be expected but the largest known multiple of this rare Local issue.     Confederate Postmasters' Provisionals New Orleans 1861: Provisional 5 c. brown on white paper, short Transfer plate flaw at top, a large margined example slightly stained through applied gum, used on 1861 cover to Russellville, Alabama cancelled by NEW ORLEANS / LA datestamp in black.
