Reverse with Crown 'Mauritius/GPO' datestamp of despatch (Oct 12) in black. Cover then travelled via Suez with Marseille entry marking (Nov 4) in red. Wrongly charged on arrival with '6' handstamp replaced by '8' décime charge marking in black. Whilst the cover is endorsed 'Gravure Intermediate' in pencil and signed, in our opinion this is an early usage of the worn impression on letter. Minor file folds but a rare and most appealing cover.
