    1880: Great Britain 1 s. orange-brown, pl. 13, wmk. Spray (Gi 151 = £ 1'400 off cover), a wing margined horizontal pair used on 1881 printed envelope to London at double rate tied by GREYTOWN datestamp (Feb 15) in black. London arrival cds in red at left. The cover with opening tear and minor stain below the adhesives but very rare.

    1865:Great Britain 5 s. rose, pl. 2, wmk. Maltese Cross, a defective example with repaired corner, cancelled by bold strike of 3 bars "C57" British Post Office in Greytown obliterator in black-the sole recorded usage of this obliterator, Parmenter records this as a Proof strike only (Type 3TH.HOS) and un-recorded in use although delivery was on August 14, 1865. Despite the condition, this remains one of the rarest of all British P.O. Abroad cancellations. Cert. RPS (2006).

    1879/80: Nicaragua rouletted 10 c. vermilion and 25 c. green used on 1882 cover (embossed 'Secretaria de Hacienda / Nicaragua seal on reverse) mailed to Paris tied by framed "3/G" handstamps of Granada, sent via the British Post Office in Greytown and additionally franked by Great Britain 1872 4 d. vermilion pl. 13 (Gi. Z7) tied by bold strike of four bar "C57" obliterator in black (the sole known usage of this obliterator on letter) for postage paid as far as British P.O. in Panama (as in the inter-island rate). 'Panama' datestamp of British P.O. on obverse (Jan 5, 1882) with 'T' marking in black alongside and charged on arrival in Paris (Jan 28) via London at '32' décimes to pay with '2.20' credit to Great Britain. A dramatic mixed franking of great rarity, the latest recorded combination cover as Nicaragua joined the UPU on May 1, 1882. A cover of excellent provenance and quality for the Postal History connoisseur. Cert. Holcombe (1987).
