    1919 (Jan 27): Overprinted on Italy 10 c. carmine postal stationery card, sent registered to Reykjavik, ICELAND and up-rated with January 1919 2 c. on 2 c. orange brown (2), 5 c. on 5 cc. green (2) and single 10 c. on 10 c. carmine all tied by Triest cds's and by oval "Censure Militaire" in violet. Yellow registered label at left and reverse with Reykjavik cds of receipt (March 13). A fine card to an extraordinary destination.

    Libia 1921 (July): 50 c. "nero e bruno" black and brown, perf. 14, the error of colour (printed in the colours of the 30 centesemi value), a fine lightly cancelled used example centred to left, minor bends on reverse not affecting the appearance. Of the utmost rarity, with just two examples recorded in used condition. Signed Colla. Certificate Colla (2012) Sassone = unpriced.

    1934 (Jan 22): Postcard from Sieger to Buenos Aires with combination of Italy First Flight Rome / Buenos Aires 2 lire and 3 lire tied by viollet cachet and Libya definitive 50 c. and 1 lire tied by Tripoli cds's. Registered label tied by framed First Flight cachet in red at left.
    Note: On the flight from Dakar to Natale (Brazil) the Italian plane had troubles and approaching the coast attempted to land on a beach at Ceara near Fortaleza. It struck a large rock and over-turned. The mechanic and radio officer were both injured. The mail was salvaged undamaged and was embarked on the first direct postal flight between Rome and Buenos Aires with the special 'Volo' cachet.
