    1855: 2d blue, watermark large crown, perf. 14 lettered OL from plate 6, used in Constantinople. Horizontal Oval Cancel "C" (Z2), listed but not quoted in SG catalogue. Fine stamp. Certificate BPA 1974.

    1888: The 'Orient Express', fine group with a post card  'Imperiales Ottomanes Carte Postale' from 1888 with two halfpenny stamps and Orient Express stamp margined on top with full text on the reverse to a military address in Germany from the known sender  'Antoine Dorusoune Chemins de fer Orientaux' (sende cancel on reverse too). Three pieces, each one with stamp and Orient Express stamp in good condition, 2x brick-red (of which one with right margin) and 1x red. All items with clear cds "BRITISH POST OFFICE CONSTANTINOPLE...".

    1893/1935: BRITISH LEVANT, Collection including especially the provisional stamp 40 PARAS on ½ d from 1893 with first day cover, the stamp cancelled with obliterator "C", fine unused (certificate)  and used (signed); two inverted surcharges, both used (rare!). A letter to Germany, a letter with two stamps both showing beginning of the variety 'shorter 'S', another letter with part of the surcharge of the neighbour stamp. Ttwo forgeries (of which one unused). In addition several letters, covers and stationery from other issues enclosed.
