1934/1944, African French colonies air mail collection of five covers, presented upon exhibition pages, with detailed write-up on routes, rates, franking, includes Regie Air Afrique, Air France, Sebena and Imperial Airways, mailings from Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Congo, all have French colonies frankings, noted 1944 registered censored cover from Madagascar addressed to an Officer in the Middle East Forces, franked to 18 fr. 50 c., has been opened and resealed by censor, transit "Beyrouth", also 1937 air mail cover from Diego Suarez to Aden, taxed underpaid, franked with Madagascar stamps to the value 5 f., and large size 1941 registered 'General Government of French Equatorial Africa' envelope, sent from Brazzaville to Lagos, Nigeria, with high value franking of 210 fr., tied by "Brazzaville / A.E.F." datestamp, a scarce group.Ausruf : 150 CHFZuschlag : nicht verkauftLosnr. : 969 Franz. Gouadeloupe 1865 (24 March): Large envelope from Point-à-Pitre to Paris of the 26th weight rate, showing handwritten '260 g', bearing Aigle 40 c. orange in an irregular block of 16 and pair 5 c. green, as to be expected for a multiple of this shee size three stamps shaved, one touched and one with a tear, otherwise in an unexpectedly over average quality, tied / cancelled by grill obliterator, one stamp in addition by French "ST. NATAIRE" entry cds in red, despatch cds in black and framed PD in red alongside. Reverse with arrival (16 April) cds. French India 1859/65: Eagle 80 c. rose, a fine example with even margins all, round, used on 1871 entire letter to Bordeaux tied in black with "INDE / PONDICHÉRY" datestamp at left (Dec 19), paying the single rate. Circular COL. FR. V.S. / P. AN. AMB. MARS" datestamp in red (Jan 15) and charged on arrival (for the Italian leg of the journey) with handstruck '4' décimes due in black.
