Somaliland Protectorate 1903: De La Rue Frame Only Master Die Proofs ex the DLR day-book, three pieces bearing the complete set of 14 (including the unissued 5 annas), all imperforate in black on glazed white card, with working dates in manuscript reading from June 26, 1903 - until signed off in red manuscript on September 4, 1903. Wingate Mission 1904: 1 a. grey-black & red, a used example on 1909 cover to Cambridge tied by "Berbera / Somailiand" cds (May 7) in black. The cover, with full contents was written on May 4th from Upper Sheikh where there were no postal facilities at this time, from C.H. Armbruster (senior Inspector for the Sudan Government), and a member of the "Wingate Mission". Interesting contents regarding the journey from Berbera up to Sheikh with the comment "Sir R.
