Crown CC, each with excellent colour and large margins all round, on small piece overprinted "CANCELLED" in black (Samuel type D6); these being from the document submitted to the Chinese Imperial Maritime Customs in 18 June 1877 as specimens of embossed stamps produced by the firm. Mentioned in the Samuel handbook on page 114. Superb and of great rarity.
